On October 12, 2022, at 15:45, the live broadcast of the third lesson of the Chinese Space Station "Tiangong Classroom" officially began. This event featured astronauts Chen Dong, Liu Yang, and Cai Xuzhe from the Shenzhou 14 crew teaching youth about space, and it was covered live by CCTV, making it the only significant live broadcast event of the day.
The space lesson continued to adopt a "Heaven-Earth Interaction" format. The three astronauts introduced and showcased the working and living scenes in the Wentian lab module of the Chinese Space Station. They demonstrated experiments such as capillary action in a microgravity environment, the "lazy" water ball experiment, fun drinking in space, a wrench that can turn around, and an introduction to plant growth research projects, while interacting with the classroom on the ground.
"Tiangong Classroom" is the first space science education brand launched to leverage the comprehensive benefits of the Chinese Space Station. It combines manned spaceflight missions and features a series of educational content related to the construction and operation of the space station. Chinese astronauts serve as "space teachers," primarily targeting young audiences and conducting sessions using a collaborative Heaven-Earth interaction approach. As a national space laboratory, the Chinese Space Station is also an essential base for space science education, possessing unique and rich educational resources that play a special role in inspiring the public, especially young people, to promote scientific spirit and nurture a love for the aerospace industry.
For the live broadcast, the venue utilized Kaixin Chuangda's N-MixL HD network Matrix Switcher and SMC series 4K ultra-high-definition hybrid Modular Matrix Switcher to provide high-quality observation images. The equipment interacted well with CCTV's professional broadcasting equipment, ensuring high-definition, stable transmission and effective video image processing.
Throughout the event, Kaixin Chuangda was fully involved in the planning and application of video conversion and transmission, as well as onsite video signal scheduling management. The team excelled in providing support services for the entire event, achieving high standards in managing video output and onsite video signal tasks.
